Cathedral of Salt in Bogota

It took us 1.5 hrs  from Bogota depends upon traffic to reach this place  Zipaquira, their town, We are group of 6 so we take an uber drive to negotiate and divided the fees  for the ride and some couple of hr to take the town as well. We paid 62,000 COP for six of us to reach this town.

IMG_1017The entrance of this salt mine and the cathedral is 57,000 COP for Senior which had 10% from regular fee of 57,000 COP, There are local and tourist attraction here . Mostly you can see here are the salt miners build with their hands the different crucification of Jesus  and the religious  side of our belief. You can also get stuff like emerald and souvenirs stuff you can buy here.

The most interesting sights to visit here are the crosses and the cathedral or church which are made from Colombian artist and film showing of time and space on how the crystal of Colombia form. There are series of lights everywhere from cross to the cave which are amazing.

There are also food inside the cave, the crystallization forms of salt, the miners work of art, the 13 cross of crucification of Jesus . The entrance fee has the same with or without tour guide.

Remember to monitor all your things and phone and cameras. 2,500 COP is equal to 1USD. Police are everywhere. In parks streets or buses. Tipping is 10 percent in Colombia and mostly restaurants are included the tip in your bill.
